Wipeout...

So before we start today's post I will share a few pictures of our wheels for this holiday. When we had completed the paperwork and arrived at the garage we were pointed in the direction of a mid-size SUV. It was huge and I didn't fancy it so we went for just a mid-size and the car I actually wanted. It was the same car as we had on our first driving holiday to the States.

It's big enough but not too big. So, back to today. We had planned to go on Little Toot, but having done boat trips the last two days, there was not much appetite to do this.

So we decided to purchase Jolly Trolley tickets and travel by bus to Tarpon Springs.

As we travelled the 30 minutes or so to our destination you could see the dark clouds following us and as you can probably guess... Waited for us to disembark before starting an absolute downpour...

Tarpon Springs is a Greek community and famous for its sponge divers but given the weather it didn't grab the attention of the group so we headed back to Clearwater.

We then attempted to have a late lunch but this was thwarted by a power cut that lasted a couple of hours. Even when the power came back on the restaurants weren't going to be ready for another hour so we headed to Subway for a roll. This was after climbing up the stairs to the 8th floor. Our apartment is a penthouse condo so the view is spectacular but we're glad we have a lift :)

After Subway Miss H and I went back to the apartment and Mrs J and Miss H went for another bus ride.

The rain continued through the late afternoon so we were unable to go for a swim today...

So around 8pm we headed out to eat and then wandered up to Pier 60 to see what today's entertainment was before heading home and retiring for the night.
