Checking the itinerary we were off shopping again. This time to Westfield Countryside, a mall some 10 miles from our apartment. It's a very popular mall but we were warned about the parking and aimed to arrive as near to 10 as possible.
The drive was very uneventful and although the car park was filling up, there were plenty of spaces.
Given that it was the weekend, the Mall filled up quickly. Probably due to Sales Tax being removed for the Back to School event. Aside from tons of shops and restaurants, the Mall has a 12 screen cinema and an ice skating rink, as well as an indoor train ride for kids.
We had lunch in the food court which has 10 different outlets. Mrs J and Miss B had pizza, Miss H had chicken nuggets and seechips and I had a Philly cheese steak sandwich - all good.
As we left the mall it was utter carnage as multiple cars chased non-existent spaces with a guy pulling straight out in front of me. It was like a scene from the wild west but with cars not guns...
On the way back from the mall we stopped off at Wall Mart as they had a good deal on an iPad but the store don't carry that as stock.
We took the opportunity to fill up with petrol as we were getting low. As I've said in previous year's blogs you have to go in and pre-pay for your petrol and it's difficult to know how much you need the first time. No problem, they return the difference but it's another trip into the shop. The fuel tank was showing under half full and it only took $12.19 to fill the car.
So we are back at the apartment and it's around 6pm and we are chilling out on the balcony. The weather forecast is not great for the remainder of our holiday, but nothing we can do about that. It's still really warm though and beats working, so we will make the best of it.
Tried out a new restaurant tonight, the food was good bit the service...
It's just gone 11 and am finishing off the blog... Goodnight.
